Optional Keypads and Card
Readers are a popular means to control access
to facilities. Keypads require the user to enter
in a specific code to activate the gate or door.
Card readers require the user to have a card
that they place near a Card Reader. The card
reader prevents users from sharing codes. The
units are mounted on a gooseneck so they can
be activated from a vehicle.
There
are three basic functions the stand alone, the
access control, and the wireless.
The stand alone is a self contained unit. Management enters codes or cards at the unit. There may be some limited scheduling of users access by hours of the day and limited reports of user activity. The number of users is dictated by the memory chip in the unit. When ordering please advise on the number of users.
The access control are keypads or readers that are wired to an existing access control system provided by a security company. The keypads and readers provided by Tri-Cor use Weigand protocol.
The wireless keypad is a standalone system that is similar to a radio control that is activated by a keypad. The wireless keypads save trenching and wiring and simplify installation.
The models listed below are the most popular units. Consult Tri-Cor at 1.800.249.0674 for design assistant for special applications.
